Creede OHV Club
Meeting, August 9,
2007
The August meeting of the Creede OHV Club was held at the
home of Bill and Deborah Gattis and was called to order by Jerre Guthals,
President, at 7:10 P M on August 9, 2007. A motion was made,
seconded and passed to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the
previous meeting as those minutes were e-mailed to members and are posted on the
club's website.
Linda Martin, Treasurer, reported the club will pay for
the new pennants and will be reimbursed by the members. Club membership
stands at 41 members with 7 unrenewed members. Jerre added that Ray Sharp
had expressed an interest in joining the club.
Jerre Guthals displayed
one of the new club pennants and said that they were available to members who
had ordered them at the cost of $10.00 each. Additional pennants were
purchased for those who had not pre-ordered.
At the Snowmobile Club
meeting that Jerre attended, that club donated, to the Boy Scouts, tables that
the Community Center is selling. The cost of the tables is $25.00 each and
Jerre suggested that we donate a couple tables since we have used the Boy Scout
cabin numerous times. Jim Martin made the motion that we donate two tables
to the Boy Scouts. The motion was seconded and approved.
McKenzie
Stock Trail has numerous switch backs and currently is impassable but there is
an alternate route that, if restored, would allow travel to Crystal Lake.
Saturday, August 11, was scheduled as a work day on the trail. Jerre has
equipment from the Forest Service and will meet with one group at the top.
A second group will meet at the bottom.
Jerre passed around Stay the
Trail stickers and emphasized the importance of staying on the trail. He
also offered $2.00 COHVCO raffle tickets for a 2007 Suzuki 400 with
trailer.
With no further business, the meeting was dismissed at 8:15
