The Creede OHV Club, a Non-Profit Organization was
organized April 29, 2004 to give members a voice in Local Land Use and Trail Use
issues.
Purpose:
- The Club will work for the enhancement of the State and
Federal laws concerning ATV’S, Jeeps, and other off-highway vehicles to
promote responsible use, reasonable restrictions and registration.
- The Club will cooperate with others in education, training
in the use of, and safe operation of ATV’s, Jeeps and other off-highway
vehicles.
- The Club will encourage and enforce “Tread Lightly”
principles by reasonable example.
- The Club, as a volunteer group, will work with the USFS
and toward their suggestions on trail improvements and maintenance.
- The Club will work to remove litter along trails and roads
whenever possible.
- The Club will offer assistance to anyone in distress and
make vehicles and members available for search and rescue efforts.
- The Club will promote a working relationship with the
business community to enhance tourism whenever possible.
- We, the members of the Creede OHV Club, promise to be
responsible sport enthusiasts and help promote “Trail Friendly” conduct
consistent with the overall objectives of the organization.
- We,
the members of the Creede OHV Club, will respect the recreational rights off
others.
Regular meetings are held on the first Thursday of each
month (April-Thru September) at 7:30 PM unless otherwise stated. Meeting places
will be announced. Some meetings will
have a “pot luck” dinner after the meeting, others will only have
desserts. Several Club
Rides as well as Trail Maintenance Rides will be held each
summer. Usually a picnic lunch or hot dog cookout will accompany these rides.
Other social events may be held each year.
